The urban shopping centres of Mauritius, like those of Quatre Bornes, Rose Hill, and Curepipe are now complemented by large shopping malls that have grown in number over the past few years. Many of these shopping malls offer a leisure experience beyond shopping, with cinemas and food courts often on site.

The Phoenix mall in Vacoas-Phoenix on the central plateau, was recently refurbished and provides a range of retail stores, including fashion, footwear, accessories, jewellery, electronics and computers, health and beauty, home and décor, a food court and restaurants, as well as the hypermarket, Jumbo.

 The Trianon Shopping Park in Trianon on the central plateau, was also recently redesigned and offers a wealth of shopping opportunities in fashion, footwear, accessories, jewellery, electronics and computers, health and beauty, home and décor, a food court and restaurants, as well as the supermarket Shoprite. There is also an Irish pub and a cinema within the complex,

The Bagatelle Mall of Mauritius in Moka offers over 150 shops that sell every-day and designer fashion, footwear, accessories, jewellery, electronics and computers, health and beauty, home and décor, plus includes the Intermart and Monoprix hypermarkets and Food Lovers supermarket. There is also a popular pub, a cinema and a variety of restaurants plus a food court and coffee shops.

The Riche Terre Mall just north of Port-Louis features a range of stores that offer
fashion, footwear, accessories, jewellery, electronics and computers, health and beauty, home and décor, as well as a food court, plus the hypermarket, Jumbo.

The Grand Baie La Croisette Shopping Mall in Grand-Baie is the largest shopping and entertainment destination in the north of the island. This popular mall offers over 100 retail and food outlets, selling every-day and designer fashion, footwear, accessories, jewellery, electronics and computers, health and beauty, and home and décor, plus includes the Intermart hypermarket. The mall also includes several restaurants, a cinema and a lounge bar.

The Cascavelle Shopping Mall in Flic-en-Flac on the West Coast of Mauritius includes the Monoprix supermarket, and a range of stores selling fashion, footwear, accessories, jewellery, electronics and computers, and health and beauty products. The mall also features restaurants, a food court, a nightclub – Lakaz Cascavelle and the Casela Go Cart track and sports bar.

The Ruisseau Creole shopping centre in Tamarin, further down the West Coast from Flic-en-Flac features a range of stores selling fashion and artisanal goods, as well as restaurants and bars, which offer a lovely coastal ambience.

The most recent addition to the shopping malls of Mauritius is the SoFlo shopping mall in Floreal on the central plateau that opened in late 2017. This chic mall features a small food court with a café and restaurants, an Intermart supermarket and a range of stores selling fashion, footwear, accessories, jewellery, electronics and computers, home and décor, and health and beauty products.
